Feliciano Torres' Obituary
The Torres family shares with our deepest sorrows the loss of our beloved father, Mr. Feliciano “Thotie” L. Torres, who peacefully joined our creator one month before his 81st birthday, at 9:40am on May 9th, 2020 in San Francisco, California, USA. He peacefully passed due to long-term illness whilst surrounded by his loved ones as he listened to melodic piano tunes played by his children. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Nora A. Torres; his children: Anthony and Irene, Alexter and Susan, Felcaster and Mench, Alven and Trisha, Mary Adeleine, Jerrick Cian, and Donnell Cian; his sisters: Nila T. Rafer and Sonia T. Aquino; his thirteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
In his 20s, he got involved in his parents’ trading firm, supplying automotive parts of different brands from Japanese manufacturers to local automotive parts importers. This allowed him to be exposed to different Japanese manufacturers, which eventually opened his mind to the field of manufacturing. Our father viewed the partnership with Yazaki Corporation of Japan as his greatest opportunity that paved the way to the birth of the Yazaki-Torres Manufacturing.
As the most loving family man, he worked tirelessly day and night to be able to give his family the best opportunities whilst strengthening the community. He had the biggest heart and the strongest will and mind, which allowed him to do anything he set his mind to. He also never stopped to consider every aspect of a situation before solidifying his opinion and making any decision. Even then, he always kept his mind open and continued to grow with a vastly different world than he grew up in. Guided by his unwavering moral character and faith, he always did and said what he truly believed in his heart was the right thing to do, as he kept his loved ones and the Lord in mind.
We thank you for all the love and support, and we hope that you all can keep him in your mind and in
your prayers.
We will miss our father very much and keep him in our hearts,
Anthony, Alexter, Felcaster, Alven, Maridel, Jerrick, and Donnell Torres
