Feliciano L. Santos' Obituary
Feliciano Santos, 71, of San Jose, died on Wednesday December 1, 2021, with his loving wife of 40 years right by his side at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View.
The 4th of 7 kids, Feliciano was born on January 24, 1950 in Del Carmen, Pampanga, Philippines to Celestino and Aurea Santos. He attended the University of the East and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. On January 23, 1981 he married Amelia Valentin.
His greatest accomplishment and lasting legacy was his work trailblazing the field of flash memory technology at SanDisk, where he was hired as a founding employee (Employee #21) in 1989. He would work there for 23 years and retired at the age of 62.
Feliciano enjoyed gardening, investing in the stock market, and being a grandpa. He was a loving husband, a generous brother, a selfless father, and an affectionate grandpa. Feliciano always had a joke or story to tell, an opinion to voice, or maybe a piece of financial advice for those who sought it.
Feliciano is survived by his wife, Amelia; his eldest son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, Jason, Shannon, Madison, and Cameron; his youngest son, Ryan; his sisters, Helen and Ester; and his brothers, Pablito and Mario.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Larry and Jheff.
A wake, funeral service, and reception will be held on December 16th starting at 9:30AM at Skylawn Funeral Home.
