Felicia Denise Johnson's Obituary
Felicia Denise Johnson (nee Green) was born on September 4, 1965 in Tucson, Arizona to Betty Williams and Hardy Green. At a young age, her family relocated to California where she went on to graduate from Star of the Sea School - Class of 1983, City College of San Francisco and San Francisco State University. She was very blessed to form lifelong friendships in school and in her community, many of whom became family to her and her children.
Felicia welcomed her first daughter, Sherrell Davenport, in December of 1984. In March of 1990, she gave birth to her son, Willie Green, and shortly thereafter in February of 1991, her second daughter, Armani Cooper was born. Through hard work and dedication to providing for her family, Felicia committed herself to her studies and was able to earn her degree while raising three children with the support her loving Grandmother, Elizabeth Williams.
On April 23, 1996, Felicia committed herself to her husband, Demetrius Johnson; her second marriage. The pair met while working security at the Moscone Center in San Francisco and remained married until her passing.
After earning her degree, Felicia began her career with the Department of Health and Human Services, where she was employed for 27 years. She took a lot of pride in her work, enjoyed her field, and spoke highly of her colleagues. Her dedication, professionalism and hard work was recognized and appreciated.
Together with her husband, Felicia raised her three children, teaching them the importance of education, family, having a relationship with God and applying the Bible’s principles in our everyday life.
In November of 2019, Felicia’s family was blessed with the birth of her granddaughter Cassidy, whom she shared a special bond with. She and Cassidy were able to travel together frequently, talked almost daily, and made each other laugh and smile.
Felicia valued making time for those around her, whether it was an invite to a concert, wine tasting or hours on the phone talking about everything and nothing. Felicia is survived by: Charlotte Green (stepmother), Demetrius Johnson (husband), Sherrell Davenport (daughter), Willie Green (son), Armani Cooper (daughter), Cassidy (granddaughter) and a host of loving family and friends.
