Fatemeh Hakkak's Obituary
Fatemeh Hakkak was born in a family with many siblings, she was the oldest daughter. She married at a young age. Her husband worked hard to make a good life for their family and she was very good at taking care of her children and protecting them from sickness. She tought them how to take care of them selves. All of her kids were in the U.S. for many years. She and her husband left the country for a Christmas visit and found out that they could not return home. She lived in beautiful Marin County by the water. Her biggest hardship came when she lost her husband 20 years ago suddenly, she found herself without her partner and had to move to Mid-Peninsula to be close to most of her kids. Her second blow came 10 years ago when she lost her first son suddenly just like her husband, Not many people understood what she went through. Her son took care of her with a lot of love, they enjoyed their time together. She was so thankful for his help, they were close like friends. Her son hopes to show his children the kind of love that his mother showed her children. Nothing was more important to her than seeing her kids healthy and happy. She choose to live by herself and she did for the past 15 years. She did not want a caregiver to help her. She was a strong woman, fighting a disease that kills most people. She passed just the way she wanted to in her home without any help, while having her meal with no pain or suffering. She looked so peaceful when her son saw her. He will miss her as long as he lives.
