Evelyn Joyce Le’FevreEvelyn Joyce Le’Fevre, 67, of Montara, passed away Thursday, Dec 14, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Surrey, England, June 11, 1950. At the age of six, she immigrated to the US when her mother, Margaret K. Le’Fevre married John Phillpotts. For two years they lived in South San Francisco before moving to Montara in 1959, where she spent most of her life.Evelyn graduated from Half Moon Bay H.S. in 1968 and went on to the College of San Mateo where she earned her AA degree in Business Admin. After graduation she worked as a legal secretary in a law firm and later six years with the office of the California Attorney General. After two years working abroad in England, she returned and later became employed by Wells Fargo Bank and stayed with them for 26 years, until her retirement in 2012.Evelyn enjoyed hiking, traveling, entertaining friends, watching and feeding the birds, being in her flower garden, and pocillovy. She was proudly British and remained a citizen all her life.She is survived by her siblings and their families. Kevin Phillpotts and his wife Kim, sons, Jason and John, of Everett, WA; Zeo Phillpotts, his wife Renee, son Graeme, and step-daughters, Aimee Bowman and Rebecca Cresswell of Lamar, AR; sister, Kim Tinsley, husband Bob and daughter Margaret of Ozark, AR. She also has many relatives still living in England. She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Phillpotts, step-father John Phillpotts.Memorial service will be at Skylawn (Hwy 92 & Skyline Blvd) Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1pm In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Hospice 900 Veterans Blvd., Ste 400 Redwood City, CA 94063
