Eleanor A. Edmonson's Obituary
Eleanor A. Edmonson (Ann), 61 years young, passed away at Stanford Hospital Palo Alto, California, on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Born August 9, 1950, to Eleanor and Lenny Edmonson in Saint Louis, Missouri she lived in Los Angeles, California before settling in Union City, California. She worked at Bank of America for 43 long dedicated years. Recently she began taking sign language classes in the interest of becoming an interpreter for others. Eleanor (Ann) enjoyed life she danced the Nut Cracker Suit and enjoyed belly dancing. Eleanor had a contagious laugh, and a smile that would brighten the darkest corner. She enjoyed meeting people and whether it was a five second interaction or a friendship that lasted years, she appreciated the experience and was happy to meet new people. Eleanor always sought after knowledge and enrichment of herself and everyone around her, sharing whatever she learned. She was our angel here on earth shedding light on the brighter side of life and opened her door and heart to whoever needed. She was a voice of hope, and perseverance. She was very loving, protective, and an advocate for others. A wonderful mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend, living by example she has led many to Christ. Survivors include her two sons Ryan and Nicholas, Mother Eleanor, her siblings Leonard, Mary, John and Chris, and Cecilia. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great- great nephews of which she loved dearly and used every opportunity to express. Ann was preceded in death by her father Lenny Edmonson, son Phillip, and two nieces Ann Christin, and Mphatso Roxana. Services will be held on Saturday, August 4th at Skylawn Funeral Home.
