Elbren De La Pena Agdeppa Jr.'s Obituary
Pacifica, CA – Elbren Agdeppa Jr., 68 died Friday, October 7, 2016 at Seton Medical Center in Daly City following a brief battle with cancer.He lived his life with his wife of 46 years, Agripina Agdeppa, his children Abigail and son-in-law Fervis, Ma. Lourdes, Anne Marie, Rachel, Richard, and Michael; two grand children Aron, and Andrew; his siblings Lorna, Jane, Myrna, Jesse, and Cora, and many close relatives and friends.Born in Clark Field, Pampanga and raised in Quezon City, Philippines, the son of Elbren Agdeppa Sr., a US Army Veteran of WWII, and Natalia Agdeppa, was a resident of Pacifica.Papa, as his kids call him, was an example of strong religious faith who guided his children through words and actions of being a devoted Catholic. A hardworking and dedicated employee, he worked in one of the largest retail companies in the Philippines for 36 years prior retiring and migrating to the United States. Knowing the value of education in the Philippines he worked very hard to ensure that his six children will graduate in college, and successfully did so. To his colleagues at work, his loyalty, dedication, and down to earth demeanor was a source of energy and inspiration to everyone around him. To his friends, he left a reputation of strong faith, humbleness, kindness and good humor that will forever be relished.Papa had dedicated most of his life in service to his local Catholic community in the Philippines. From his younger years as an altar server, to a long time lay minister, to becoming the president of the Pastoral Council for the Our Lady of Hope Parish in Quezon City. In the United States, he continued his faithful service as a lay minister at the Good Shepherd Church in Pacifica.There will be a viewing on Oct 14, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Church in Pacifica at 9:00 am followed by a mass at 11:00 am, interment is at 2:00 pm at Skylawn Memorial Park in Redwood City.
