Elaine Kate Liu's Obituary
Elaine Liu, aged 41 of Foster City, CA, passed away on July 10, 2017 after a courageous battle against metastatic breast cancer. She is survived by father Michael and two older brothers, David and Lou.She was born August 1975 to Dr. & Mrs. Michael and Amy Liu and raised in Bloomington, MN until graduating high school. Elaine graduated from Cornell University in 1997 with a BS degree in Industrial and Labor Relations. She was an accomplished pianist, faithful Christian and worked at Nektar Therapeutics in San Francisco for over 10 years.The family has arranged for a visitation/viewing at: Skylawn Memorial Park, Crystal Springs chapel, Hwy 92 in San Mateo, CA on MON July 17, 1:30-5:00pm. The Liu’s will not be conducting a funeral service in California and intend to return her to Minnesota where she will be laid to rest. Donations to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or Susan Komen (komen.org) in lieu of flowers.
