Edwin Marshall Miller's Obituary
For 66 years, beloved husband of Barbara Miller. Loving father of David and Hillary Miller, Daniel Miller and Deborah Ancona, and Thomas Miller. Cherished grandfather of Adam, Matthew and Crystal, Isaac and Ripanshi, and Eli Miller. With his contagious smile, Ed was a friend to so many. Ed loved his family so much, followed very closely by his fondness for the San Francisco Giants.
Growing up in a poor family, Ed attended college on boxing and baseball scholarships, playing competitive softball for many decades thereafter while also coaching his sons’ Little League baseball teams. With a degree in Mathematics, he spent his entire career in the emerging field of computer programming.
Ed spent his retirement years doing substantial volunteer work with Peninsula Temple Beth El, the Samaritan House, and Carlmont High School. He was active at the Peninsula Regent, their residence of nearly ten years, playing bridge, serving on committees and as former president of the Men’s Club.
Private burial will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park. There is also an upcoming Zoom call to celebrate his life. Please contact the family for details.
