Edwin Davis' Obituary
Edwin (Buzz) Willis Davis, III died at the age of 70 in Redwood City, CA on January 5, 2013 after a lengthy illness due to organ complications.Ed was born on September 22, 1924 in San Mateo to Edwin and Thelma Davis. He graduated from Hillsdale High School and then attended the College of San Mateo. Ed married Crystal Szczepek and they were blessed with a son Mark.He joined the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 467 in 1962 and worked as a plumber until he retired in 2008. He remained a loyal member of the union for the rest of his life.For the last 20+ years he lived his life in the town he loved and the home he was raised, in San Mateo. That was always his home in his heart.Ed was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy and brother Robert.He is survived by his son Mark Davis of San Mateo, CAEd was a hard working man; he also loved a good party. He enjoyed musical theater and would belt out those show tunes. What a voice. He took up line dancing and was very good at it. Ed played high school football at Hillsdale High School in San Mateo and College football at the College of San Mateo. He was an avid 49er football fan and a season ticket holder for four decades.Ed was a true gentlemen and a loving father.
