Edna Lampkins' Obituary
July 31, 1924 – October 25, 2013. Edna Lampkins died peacefully at her home of natural causes. Edna was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years Peter Lampkins and eldest son Donald. She is survived by her son Tony; her daughters Rose and husband Billy; Barbara, JoAnn and Edna and husband John; step sons Kenneth and Arnold; her grandchildren: Peter, Amir, Billy Jr., Mary, Max, Marie and Lucas as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Edna was born to Edward and Ora Mae and raised in Arkansas on a farm along with twelve brothers and sisters. Upon finishing school she moved to San Francisco to live with her sister and to work in various factory jobs during the war before she met and married Peter. They eventually bought property in Half Moon Bay and built their home where she resided for more than 60 years. Edna was a full-time Mom and Homemaker. Her first mission in life was to make everyone feel at home at her house. Before her decline in health Edna loved to garden and took great pride in her roses. Edna had a servant’s heart and would extend what she had to help others. She was a perfect example of what a lady, a wife, a mom, a grandmother, an aunt, a sister, and a Christian should be. She will be missed for now, but we will meet again in Heaven.
