Edna Low Fong's Obituary
Edna Low Fong passed peacefully on Monday morning, March 23, 2026, at the age of 95.
Edna was born in San Francisco on November 2, 1930, the third daughter of David and Nellie Low. She grew up in North Beach with her five sisters, Ruth, Anita, Dorothy, Elizabeth, and Janice. Edna attended Francisco Junior High School and graduated from Galileo High School.
On November 28, 1953, she married Ferris Fong and together made their lifelong home in San Francisco. Ferris and Edna shared their passion for travel and cruising, bowling in leagues and tournaments, and spent many long nights playing mahjong. After Ferris’s passing in 2004, Edna continued to enjoy international travel and cruising. She also loved watching sports and game shows and reading romantic novels.
Edna is survived by her son Rodney, his wife Patricia, and their daughters Olivia and Victoria; her daughter Eileen, her husband Norman, and their daughter Gaelyn and her husband Brandon; and her son Kirby and his wife Lisa. She is also survived by sisters Ruth Chan, Dorothy Quong and Janice Nonaka, brothers-in-law Victor Nonaka and Filbert Fong, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
