Doris Mary Morey (Tyson)

Doris Morey of San Carlos, CA passed away peacefully on Sunday May, 19th at the age of 83. Doris was born in San Francisco and moved with her family to San Carlos in 1947. She attend elementary school and middle school in San Carlos and graduated from Carlmont High School in 1958-being part of the first graduating class to attend Carlmont all 4 years of high school. Doris went on to get her teaching degree from UC Berkely where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. Doris student taught in Oakland and quickly found a full time teaching position at Ralston Middle School in Belmont. She was passionate about her teaching and taught Special Education for more than 40 years! She touched so many lives and was admired by all who were fortunate enough to either be in her class or work alongside her.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William J. Morey Jr, her parents (Albert and Ann Tyson) and her 2 siblings (Barbara and Mike). She is survived by her children Kelley Green (Mark) and William E (Billy) Morey (Elizabeth) and her 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Jared Green.
All that knew her know that she was one of THE BEST-an incredibly kind, caring and loving person who will never be forgotten! We love you so much mom and will miss you beyond words. Thank you for everything you did for us, taught us and shared with us.
Service will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park (HWY 92 and Skyline Blvd. San Mateo, CA) on Monday, June 10th at 10:00 am.
