You will always be my hero, Gram. You were so strong until the very last breath, so giving and selfless. You were tireless raising all of us. I hope I can one day be even half of the woman you were. You finally get to rest. I know the things you saw at the end for you shared every bit with me until you could no longer speak. Wow, how many people can say that? Such grace, strength and will! I will always remember Doris as “gram” . I first met her when I was 13 and came home with her granddaughter, Stacy. She was a wonderful gram to her grandkids and would make you feel welcome in her home. She was always very friendly and kind to everyone. Over the years, she would always ask how I was doing. I remember she always had kids in her home…whether it be grandkids or kids she babysat. Her home was always open.She now is in a better place with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.##imported-begin##Nicole Underwood##imported-end##

I was so happy to be able to spend time with Gram in her last few days . She was so happy and was so delighted to share some wonderful stories . I know Gram loved all children including mine . She had a careful grace about her , and thought of all the children she once cared for . I was able to show her pictures of my boys all grown up. Her face just lit up and you can tell that she never stopped caring for them at all . The last time I saw Gram she blew me a loving kiss . I will always remember that moment forever .
