Don’s family has asked those of you so inclined to please, in lieu of flowers, send a donation to the charity of your choice in memory of Don.Don Creswell StoryBorn March 28, 1932 – Baltimore, Maryland Passed December 8, 2016 in Redwood City, CAIt is with great sadness that Don’s family announces the passing of Don Creswell on December 8th, 2016 following a short illness in Redwood City’s Sequoia Hospital. He is survived by his immediate family, wife Terri, son Creston, daughter-in-law Kristy, granddaughter Miren, and his dog Bessie.Don was born in Baltimore, Maryland. His parents were Bud and Verna Creswell. He has two sisters, Jean and Eileen, and a brother, Doug Creswell, who still live in the Baltimore area.Don loved business and continued working throughout his life, most recently in his current role as the co-founder of Smart Org in Menlo Park. He was previously with Strategic Decisions Group, SRI, Ampex Corporation and served as a Vice President of Pan American Airlines.Don graduated from Johns Hopkins in Baltimore where he studied business and engineering, and was a graduate student in Marketing and Business at Stanford University.He was active in local sports, serving as a top referee in AYSO and CYSA throughout Northern California. He led many local referee organizations, and trained many youth referees in San Carlos. He was involved in the NASL and his passion led him to the top level of soccer on the national level as Director of Referee Assessment for the United States Soccer Federation.Don was an artist throughout his life. He played the organ and piano, and his true musical love was jazz. He was involved in many local jazz organizations playing piano and sometimes performing locally.Don’s family has always been so appreciative of your love, friendship and support…never more so than at this time.
