Dominador Ofrecio's Obituary
Dominador Ofrecio, or Dom as he is known, died peacefully in his home in South San Francisco, on Monday, May 28, 2018.He was born on September 5, 1944 in Anao, Tarlac, Philippines, to Santiago & Adoracion Ofrecio. He attended the University of the Philippines and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and later went on to obtain his Masters in Business Administration, where he was a member of the Beta Epsilon fraternity. On November 16, 1973, he married his “wish-heart” Ana, or Annette.Dom was a proud family man; loyally serving his wife, daughters, parents, siblings, grandchildren, and his many nieces and nephews. He developed an early passion for sports; even serving as the sports editor for his high school, the University of the Philippines High School, where he fell in love with the true love of his life– the New York Yankees. He spent 35 years working in the elevator industry, where his appreciation for architecture and buildings blossomed. In his retirement, Dom became an avid chef, often welcoming his many friends and family members to try his latest culinary creations. Above all, Dom spent his life faithfully serving the Lord, as an elder at CGCF Church, and later as an usher at the Church of the Highlands.Dom is survived by his wife Ana, daughter Jennifer, her husband Ricky, and their children Trinity, Dustin, and Jericho; daughter Karina, her husband Jimil, and their daughter Alexandra; daughter Rosario and her son Maxwell; and his siblings Jolly, Ofelia, Santiago Jr., Florante, and Rosemarie.A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, from 1-5pm at Skylawn Funeral Home. A celebration of his life and memorial service will be held on Monday, June 4, from 10am-12pm at Skylawn Funeral Home.
