Dien Mo Wang's Obituary
Dien Mo Wang was born September 17, 1922 in Hunan, China. He was the oldest son in his family and has had the longest life of our entire large family.He participated as a student solider during World War II.. He worked at Cheng Sa news paper agency right after graduating from college. He was very lucky to escape from mainland China to Hong Kong during the Communist takeover in the late 1940’s . Then he worked as Chinese-English Translator for the U.S before he migrated to Taiwan. There he also taught English at High School in Taiwan. Then he worked in the Interior Ministry in the Taiwan government until he retired at 1989. He had been traveling around the world while he worked as a Director of Professional Training for the Taiwanese government. When he retired, he made San Francisco his home.He was always very proud that he had come from his roots in the underdeveloped Chinese countryside and settled into modern, advanced society. He always appreciated the good life he lived. He appreciated that his living standard was being constantly upgraded as he moved from China to Taiwan, then the US. He has been a loving father of five children, a loving grandfather for four, and good friend to many.He was a very good Chinese calligraphy artist and enjoyed practicing tai-chi. We will always remember his humane, his broad knowledge and his hobby with plants.A visitation will be held on Friday, April 9th, 2010 starting at 10:00AM. A graveside service will follow at 2:00PM at Skylawn Memorial Park.
