Diane Catson Stephanos' Obituary
Diane Catson Stephanos November 6, 1935 ' December 20, 2011 Diane Catson Stephanos, longtime resident of Los Altos passed away on December 20, 2011 after a valiant battle with cancer. Diane is survived by her husband Jim, her two sons Dino and Ted, their wives Ally and Annie, and granddaughter, Lilly. Diane and Jim were married for 52 years. Diane is also survived by her sister Anne Nickolas and her brother, George Catson. Born in Kyparissi, Greece, Diane migrated with her family as a young girl and settled in Oakland. A graduate of Skyline High School, Diane was very involved in the choir at the Greek Orthodox Church in Oakland, where she met Jim. Diane enjoyed cooking, gardening, and flower design, and was a wonderful wife and mother, and nothing was more important than family. She was a great friend, and will be deeply missed. The Trisagion will be held at The Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross, 900 Alameda De Las Pulgas in Belmont on Monday December 26th 730pm. A celebration of her life will be held at The Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross on Tuesday, December 27th at 11am. The internment will be at Skylawn Memorial Park, 10600 Skyline Boulevard in San Mateo. A lunch reception will follow at Holy Cross.
