Delmar Ronal Clemmons' Obituary
Delmar Ronal Clemmons was born on March 18, 1935, to Jessie and Willie Lee Clemmons in Sentinel, Oklahoma. He received his education in the public schools of Sentinel, Oklahoma, and Pixley, California, and graduated from Delano High School in Delano, California,
Delmar proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years After his military service, he dedicated over 40 years of his career as a car mechanic with Alouis Radiator in San Francisco, California.
In Reno, Nevada, Delmar married Mamie Irving, his beloved wife of 48 years. blending their families into one. Together, they lovingly raised their children:
Gladys Tates, Ramona King, Delmar Ray, and three children born to their union Andrea Clemmons, Warren Russell Clemmons (Yolanda), and Darren Clemmons. His daughters. Gladys Tates and Ramona King, preceded him in death.
Delmar was a devoted member of Star of Hope Missionary Baptist Church in San Francisco, California, where he served faithfully as a Deacon for many years. He enjoyed fishing, taking road trips, and, above all else, spending quality time with his large family-a love he nurtured across generations and instilled in his children. Finding his eternal home in glory, Delmar passed away on June 26, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mamie Clemmons: his daughters, Gladys and Ramona; and his siblings: Tillman, Ruby Lewis, Beatrice Ross, James Thomas, Arthur Lee, Mary Lee Newsome, Cleo, Jessie, James Blake, Abraham, Calvin, Annie Bell Smith. Evangelist Doris Stinson Powell, and Sue Veasley.
He leaves to cherish his memory three children: Andrea Clemmons, Warren Russell Clemmons, and Darren Clemmons; fourteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, George Clemmons, Doug Clemmons, and Barbara Trigueros, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends in San Francisco's Lakeview neighborhood, and his cherished church family at Star of Hope Missionary Baptist Church
