My dear Uncle Dee! What a gift from God you were. My memories of you are precious . . . you always remembered to ask me from my earliest recollections if I wanted a “knuckle sandwich”–even into my 40s–so glad you remembered! You let me know that you noticed I was around! Also, when the adults would visit into the evening hours, and we kids fell asleep, you and dad would carry us out to the car (even if I woke up being carried, I didn’t want to let you know!). You always made us feel welcome–even into my adult years when we stopped to see you while we lived in South Korea and later in Northern California. And, going out to eat with you at Ming’s, Good Earth, and your favorite breakfast place–Hobee’s (?? not sure if I got the name correct, but the food was fabulous). So thankful we could also get together on other occasions, including our family reunions in Felton and Colorado. Time together as family is never wasted! It offers us fellowship then, and memories for the future. Until heaven, Uncle Dee, I look forward to seeing you again. With love, your grand-niece Debbie##imported-begin##Debbie (Parson) Hill##imported-end##
