By faith, my first ever project one week out of school was an IC for David's DTC. A few years later, David gave me an opportunity to join Oak during its infancy period and worked under his leadership throughout most of its existence. David always had the utmost confidence in me and encouraged me to be the best that I could be. David was instrumental in shaping my career and was a mentor throughout my professional career, even years after Oak. I have many good memories of David, from his support during those unnerving hours when the chips came back but were not alive yet, to those late night dinners with Sapporo at Bamboo Garden, to the good times at Comdex, to many reunion lunches and dinners. The most touching moment might have been a few years ago when he gathered a number of us at his favorite steak house to gently reminded us to look out for the ex-Oak members who were not quite as fortunate as those who were at the table that night. David's leadership, generosity, and humanity will be missed. - Tuan Nguyen
