I can't believe you're gone, David. It's been such an honor to have known you and I am grateful to Veronica for bringing you into our lives. I can only echo all the wonderful things that have already been said and written about you. You were simply one of the kindest and most positive souls I have met. Rest in peace. <3
Although I did not know David for a very long time, but the few times that I have golfed with Veronica and David have always been so memorable and such a great time.
David was so easy going and has an amazing way to make you feel so welcome. The last time I saw David was at the Junipar tournament at Crystal Springs, we (me and my
childhood friend from Daly City) were paired with David and Veronica. The weather was
not perfect, but we had a great time with them. My childhood friend Lito remembers
David as "such a nice guy".
Our sincerest condolences to Veronica and David's family. Our prayers are with them
in the hopes that the love and friendship of family and friends will help them through
these tough times ahead.

I have no words! My sweet cousin may you rest in peace
David was such a bright light. He had infectious laugh, persistent curiosity, and impeccable taste- whether it was wine, food or cigars. He brightened every room he walked in and had a calming spirit. I remember how meeting him at his work in Morgan Hill so I could get some amazing cigars for a friend visiting from France. He punctuated life. After a new wine project launch, he texted " We'll need to celebrate sometime with cigars!"
He will forever be known as he affectionately called himself- The Wine Pimp. He could always engage in conversation and make someone excited about wine. Many of my fondest memories of Eno Wines include him. He always loved the funky Syrahs like our Las Madres. He brought interesting "Mystery Wines" during our breaks whether bottling or harvest. I remember how he turned me on to Amador Sangiovese and Barbera, and the rare Negrette from De Rose Winery. When I was exhausted from 20 hr days at the winery or tired from the wine industries, he always propped me up.
I will preserve his light and carry it forward.

As a long time friend of Veronica, David did not come into our lives until relatively recently, shortly before the two married. But it didn't take long to realize that he to would be a lifelong friend as well. Drinking wine, enjoying a cigar (or two), spending time together when you came down to San Diego, we may have only spent a few times together David, but we'll remember you as a lifelong friend.
