My Uncle, David McKee, was a very kind and compassionate man. He was a friend to everyone who knew him and would never hesitate to give anyone whetever they needed. I had many wonderful conversations with him over the phone and cherish the memories he shared about his life and growing up with my dad. A legacy has ended, as this type of kind, generous person is now very hard to find. I will always remember my Uncle Dave with a smile on my face and a happy heart.##imported-begin##Deneen Ortiz##imported-end##
My Uncle Dave was a man of integrity. He was innovative and resourceful. He was kind almost to a fault and leaves behind many family members and friends who will remember him with a smile on their faces. I am so grateful for all the time I spent speaking with my Uncle on the phone and all the wonderful memories he shared with me about his life and memories he had growing up with my dad. A legacy has ended and the torch has now been passed to my cousins Dave Jr. and Sandra. I pray you both are able to carry on the McKee legacy and are able to maintain the friendships started long ago.##imported-begin##Deneen Ortiz##imported-end##

David McKee will be remembered as a wonderful man who had a life full of adventures. My favorate story was when he won the San Francisco Fred Astaire dance contest years ago. He had the chance to take $500 cash, which was a lot and money, or take a trip for 2 to Hawaii. Of course he took the trip for two, and had more fun with his new friends than he could had with the money. David was an good man with who enjoyed life, and dancing, and had a passion for people. He will be missed by many, but his memories and spirit will live forever with us.##imported-begin##Rick Bowman##imported-end##
I always enjoyed the stories Dave told about the San Francisco neighborhoods of old and what it was like back in the 30’s 40’s and 50’s. I have a lot of admiration for Dave’s life experience as a self employed businessman of the old school, when a handshake pretty much iced it. I can only imagine the hundreds of young people Dave helped over the many years at his numerous service stations-full service no less for those that remember what a full service, service station was. It’s no mystery how Dave honed his people skills over the years and Dave was as good with people as anyone i’ve ever met. The world lost an original. Sandra, you were an unbelievable caretaker and advocate for your father. I have a lot of admiration for you as well.##imported-begin##ROBERT RULE##imported-end##
