David Luke's Obituary
David Shou Chong Luke, born October 15, 1926 in Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away at the age of 91 on July 5, 2018, in Stockton, California. David joined the Army and served for several years. After completing his service, David moved to San Mateo, CA, where he worked as a mechanic for United Airlines for nearly 40 years.In his spare time, he enjoyed growing orchids, gardening, and traveling.He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Luke née Chang, his parents, Kong Luke and Shee Yim, and his siblings, George Luke, Charlotte Ho, and Dorothy Pacheco. He is survived by his daughter, Lynette Holtz née Luke, and son-in-law Peter Holtz of Manteca, CA, grandchildren Elizabeth Holtz and Kristen Holtz of Redwood City, CA, Jennifer (Doug) Mize of Galt, CA, and PJ Holtz of Manteca. He is also survived by his brother Howard (Lorraine) Luke of Honolulu, Hawaii, as well as many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13, at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, California, at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation or a charity of your choosing.
