Danielle Josette Colvin's Obituary
Danielle Josette Colvin Born August 30, 1928 Died May 21, 2014Preceded in death by devoted husband Billy Lee Colvin. Loving Mother of Christopher and Grandmother of Adam, Brian, and Christa Colvin. Born and raised in France, she met Billy Lee Colvin during World War II. After the war, they were married and moved to Norman, Oklahoma. Later, they moved to Burlingame, California and had one son, Christopher.She lived in California for many years and enjoyed entertaining, cooking, traveling, ballroom dancing, singing in a local church choir, and spending time with her family and friends.Danielle spent 36 years working for Lockheed Missile and Space Corporation as their computer programming counselor and trouble shooter. There she was named a “distinguished woman in computer sciences”. She obtained her degree in France as well as studying and earning additional degrees at Foothill College and San Jose State University. She developed a unique method of teaching French which attracted the attention of the Cupertino School District. She moved to Colorado to care for her son in 2012.She went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer, and has been laid to rest at the Skylawn Cemetery next to her husband overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
