Cora V. Umali's Obituary
Born in Batangas Philippines on April 2, 1930 Cora began her journey through life. Cora was the youngest daughter of Jose Umali and his wife Mariquita Umali.After leaving the Philippines, she moved to San Francisco California in 1969 where she quickly made friends and established her life in America. She then attended City College of San Francisco and from there, she worked in the retail industry while forging a path to her chosen career in the insurance field. She worked as an insurance broker for the American National Insurance Company for 30 years until her retirement in 1998.On February 7, 2014 Cora passed away.Her accomplishments was recognized many times in her life. One of her proudest accomplishments was earning a Certificate in Business And Management and the other was discovering her passion for Ballroom Dancing. Learning steps, routines and choreography at the age of 66 and continuing to dance 3-4 times a week until she was 79.Cora was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She had a delightful candor, wonderful sense of humor and her ability to make you laugh and smile.We will miss you as you continue to live on in our hearts, we love you always and forever.
