Consolacion Salvador Li's Obituary
Consolacion (“Connie” and/or “Minting”) Salvador Li, left this world on May 22, 2014, at age 76, accidentally choking on food product (Philadelphia Cheese Steak). Born on September 6, 1937, Connie grew up in Manila where he attended Paco Catholic High School and St. Theresa’s College, graduated with honors. During her senior year in college, she met Antonio Li and married October 8, 1961. It was such a memorable wedding due to the heavy storm and flood at Paco Catholic Church. Connie, unfortunately, suffered from post-partum depression and the beautiful intelligent woman she was once disappeared as her mental illness was always misunderstood.Connie is the happiest crazy person in the world. She was loved by many in spite of her illness especially by her family. In 2003, Connie, while waiting for the bus stepping off the curb, was hit by an oncoming vehicle and dragged several blocks causing her paralysis from the waist down.In 2005, she resided at Country Villa in San Rafael until her death. Connie is survived by her children, daughter Marie Angeline Li Cheng and son-in-law Lino Cheng, and their son Justin; second daughter Bessie Lynn Li; her son Charles S. Li; and her youngest son, Anthony S. Li and daughter-in-law Carene and their children Daniel and Janae Li; sisters Dorothy S. Horrilleno and Mariavida R.S. Lewis; brothers Gil Salvador Jr. and Mike R. Salvador; sister-in-law Melissa Malonso Salvador; brother-in-law Herbert Orlando Lewis; half-sisters, Corrie Barzolowski, Fe Boney, and Maria Salvador and half-brother Willie J. Salvador; nieces Marcy Jacobs, Jennifer Green, Teresa Salvador, Shirley Matsushige, Ivy Boyer, and Anne Marie Woehler; and nephews Joey Horrilleno, Alex Estalilla, Noel Estalilla and Francis Estalilla and their families.A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Highway 92 at Skyline Blvd., San Mateo, CA 94402.Viewing begins at 1:00 p.m. with brief prayers starting at 1:30 p.m.
