Obituary for Clinton MarshallClinton Young Marshall, age 84, died peacefully on June 21, 2017. Clinton was born on November 2, 1932 in Greenville, Mississippi, the daughter of Daisy McCraney Young and Clinton Young.Clinton moved to San Francisco, California with her mother when she was 11. She graduated from Commerce High School in San Francisco. Clinton met John Paul Marshall after high school. She attended City College of San Francisco shortly after high school and received a certificate in Finance. She converted from Baptist to Catholic and got married on January 29, 1955. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish and then became a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in San Francisco.Clinton was a stay at home mother of four. She also assisted raising nephews, nieces, great nieces and grandchildren. She eventually went to work and retired from the Army and Air force Exchange Service, which was an extension of the federal government. Her hobbies were shopping and entertaining family. She was a phenomenal cook, but would share her recipes with no one. She also loved relaxing. She is singing and dancing in heaven with her one true love, John Paul Marshall.Clinton is survived by a sister, Nancy E. Simpkins, three children, Letà Paula and the twins, Donnell Martin & Danyelle Marshall. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Khateeb, Lamar, Kareemah, and Ylana and her 2 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind several nephews and nieces and friends as well.There will be a private graveside service for family and friends held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.
