Cindy Choi's Obituary
Cindy Choi was born on April 20, 1940 in Saigon, Vietnam. She was the eldest of nine siblings. In January 1981, she immigrated to San Francisco, California to escape what was then a war-torn country. She helped sponsor over her father and the rest of her siblings, and together they rebuilt their lives in the United States. Cindy held odd jobs before she began working for the recycling company where she would stay for over twenty years until her retirement. Cindy loved to travel, cook, and celebrate the holidays and special events with her family. She loved all of her siblings, nephews, and nieces and never hesitated to support them financially or offer encouraging words of wisdom. Cindy passed away on January 30, 2013 surrounded by loving family. She is survived by three sisters, two brothers, three nieces, nine nephews, and countless family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was gracious, kind, and selfless. Her final wishes were to see continued love and growing harmony within her family. Services in her honor will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Saturday, February 8th 2014 at 10:30am. A reception will follow services at Gourmet Village Restaurant in Millbrae, California.
