Mr. Christopher Ricci's Obituary
Christopher Ricci was killed in a hit-and-run car accident while walking home with his wife in San Carlos, California, on Saturday, April 23. He was 53.Chris was born in San Francisco and lived his entire life in the Bay Area. Starting at age 19, he worked for 34 years in logistics and distribution for Smithfield Foods, Inc. and predecessor companies John Morrell & Company and Bob Ostrow, Inc. A big-hearted and outgoing man, Chris was devoted to his family, friends, colleagues, and community. He was an inspirational Little League coach and enjoyed camping and being outdoors, especially with those he loved. Most of all, Chris treasured time with his wife, Sarah Ingebritsen, and their two children, Eden and Charles Ricci. He was an affectionate and loving husband and father, and he will be deeply missed. Chris will always be known to his friends, family and co-workers as a man of wit and humor. He never failed to be there when you needed him, and was always willing to help when called on.Chris was preceded in death by his father, William Ricci, and by his revered stepfather Charles (Chuck) Seiler. In addition to his wife and children, Chris is survived by his beloved mother Lois Seiler, brother Bill Ricci and sister-in-law Sande, sister Renee Ricci, and sister Melinda Lloret and brother-in-law Mark, and numerous nieces and nephews. Chris was also a cherished member of his wife’s family, the Ingebritsens.A Public Viewing for Chris will be held on Sunday May 1, 2016, at 10:30 am with a funeral service at 11:30 am followed by a reception at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at the intersection of Highway 92 and Skyline Boulevard in San Mateo, California.A fund has been established to support Chris’ two children.
