Ching Sung was born November 13,1924 in Chang Chung, China and immigrated to the United States in 1976. He received his University degree from Taiwan University and he married Yao Ming Tane in 1962.
Ching Sung was a lifelong businessman, successful in many ventures and generous to his friends and family. He had a knack with numbers and an uncanny ability to identify quality investments. He also enjoyed working with partners, benefitting from other people’s strengths and helping others succeed. Ching Sung was a devoted husband and a protective father. He worked hard to provide for his family and believed in the value of a good education. He took great pride in helping all four of his children achieve University degrees. He also assisted many others with obtaining education, including grants to individuals, donations to build schools in China, and gifts to the University of California.
Ching Sung is survived by his loving wife, Ming Tane, his eldest daughter Jennie and husband Garrett, his eldest son Henry and wife Christina, his second son Charles and wife Audrey, his second daughter Linda and husband Norman, his grandsons Conrad, Colin, Cayden, and Justin, and his granddaughters Madeline and Violet.
