Chen Chi Wang's Obituary
Chen Wang as born on August 10. 1932. He was raised in a large family of 10 siblings and since childhood was curious and wanted to come to America. He graduated from the top high school and top university in Taiwan and received a scholarship to Bringham Young University in Utah and University of California in Berkeley. He arrived in the United States as a foreign student with 30 dollars in his pocket in December of 1958 and fell in love with the country and people. He also became a life member if The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-Day Saints. Chen received an MBA from U.C. Berkeley and later an Electrical Engineering degree from San Jose State University. Chen met his future wife, Victoria Rebisoff, in San Jose in 1962 and they married in 1965.
Chen was blessed with optimism and a friendly. outgoing personality. He loved business with a passion and became a very successful and accomplished businessman. Chen started his career as an electrical engineer and worked with IBM for 7 years before retiring to start his own business. He and Victoria founded and built several companies that focused on real estate investments and development. Chen and Victoria loved Woodside, where they lived for 51 years and raised their 4 children and spent time with their much adored 3 grandchildren. Chen traveled extensively for business and pleasure and took his family to both close and faraway places to eat and play,
Chen never forgot his roots. He was able to invite most of his family to the United States, sometimes overcoming great obstacles. Chen led a life that he loved and always wanted to accomplish more.
Chen is survived by his wife, Victoria Wang, his 4 children, Katherine Wang, Gregory Wang, John Wang, Michael Wang (Elaine). his 3 grandchildren, Camille Wang, Eleanor Wang, Benjamin Wang, his sister Juno Wang and many nieces and nephews.
