Charlotte Adella Thorson's Obituary
In loving memory of Charlotte Adella Thorson Crowley of Redwood City who passed away at her home at the age of 95 (25 leap years) on March 11, 2015. Born on February 29, 1920 in Fountain, MN, she was the third of six children born to Art and Clara Thorson.Charlotte married Max Crowley in 1946 and together they became restaurant owners/operators in San Francisco. In 1950 they purchased their home in Redwood City and left the restaurant business for other occupations. For the next 30 years, Charlotte worked for Litton Industries until her retirement.Preceding her in death were her husband Maxwell Howard Crowley, sisters Marion Egge and Doris George, and brother Orv Thorson. She is survived by her sister Karen (George) Consemius of MN, brother Philip (Kathy) Thorson of MN, her sons Patrick (Joy) Crowley of WA and Terrance (Barbara) Crowley of CA, grandsons Mike (Carol) Reynoso of CA, Dylan Crowley of OR, Orion (Mika) Crowley of WA, great-grandson Kaisei Kobayashi Crowley, special friend and niece Sonova Johnstone, and many nephews, nieces and friends who loved her.Charlotte was known for her engaging all-night chats, her humorous storytelling, and for her quick sharp wit. Although she struggled with Alzheimer’s disease for the last 15 years of her life, her wish to stay in her own home of 65 years until the very end was honored. The family wishes to thank Eva and Bill Tupou for the love and care they provided Charlotte over the last years.A private family memorial will be held at a future date.
