Charles Forrest Little's Obituary
Born Nov 3rd, 1949 in San Mateo, CA to Robert LaMarr Little and Charlotte LaVerne Scott. He grew up in Redwood City and had fond memories of playing Little League and racing quarter midgets with his father. He shared stories of the fun he had with his neighborhood friends. In 1967 he graduated from Sequoia High School and went on to earn a BA in Geology from San Jose State University.
It was love at first sight when he met Gayle Arterburn and they married in 1973 in Portola Valley. Charlie and Gayle made their residence in San Jose where he was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed playing golf and card games with his friends and teaching the games to his daughters. He worked as a graphic artist for Lockheed Martin for 30 years allowing him to combine his artistic skills with his scientific mind.
He fought a long battle with multiple myeloma which progressed to secondary plasma cell leukemia, yet he remained exceedingly strong, sharp, kind and never lost his sense of humor that everyone enjoyed. He passed away May 11, 2024 at home with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Gayle Little, daughter Stephanie Little, daughter Danielle (Forest) Quinlan and grandsons Hunter Quinlan and Ryder Quinlan who will forever remember and miss him.
