Born in Sichuan, China, she was raised by her mother and spent her early years moving across different regions of China. She dedicated her life to education as a history teacher and soon later a high school principal till she retired, known for her discipline, integrity, and commitment to students.

My parents met in Tianjin and married shortly thereafter. My older brother was born in 1960, and I was born in 1963. They created a home filled with love and joy. My mother took charge of our studies, while my father took charge of our food and recreation. Around 2008, my mother and I visited the nursing home where my father was residing to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary—marking fifty years of marriage.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she expressed her love through care and sacrifice. She retired early to care for her first grandchild and 6 months later, together with her husband, lovingly raised him in China for another year and a half.
作为一位尽心尽力的母亲和祖母,她以付出与牺牲表达爱。她曾提前退休照顾第一个孙子,并在6个月后与丈夫在中国全心抚养他成长达1年半长。

She immigrated to the United States in 1996 and was baptized in 1997, becoming a woman of faith. In 2002 she took an oath and naturalized into an American. After her husband’s passing, she lived in Chinatown Oakland, California, for 26 years. Over the years, she was blessed with a compassionate medical care team of a family physician, a cardiologist and a pulmonologist; and for her final twelve years, she was tended by a devoted full-time caregiver couple—all of which were immense blessings from God to enable her to have longevity.
