It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Martin Compton on April 27, 2024.
CATHERINE MARTIN COMPTON (1948 – 2024)
Cathy Compton, our beloved Mom and Mimi, passed away on April 27, 2024, in Roseville, California. Cathy was born in New Orleans on September 24, 1948. The daughter of Henry and Mary Martin, she was raised in La Place, Louisiana and attended Leon Godchaux High School in Reserve. In 1976, Cathy met the love of her life, Jim Compton, and relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where they were longtime residents of the City of Belmont. Cathy is preceded in death by their son, James Martin Compton (1984) and her husband, James Milton Compton (2011). Cathy is survived by her daughters Amanda and Ashley, son-in-law, Adan, and her beloved grandchildren, Cassidy (24), Nico (17), Tyler (13), Ethan (8), Kasen (2), and Jaxon (7 mos). Cathy and Jim will be laid to rest, together, at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, Ca. on Friday, May 17, at 1:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held in Half Moon Bay on Sunday, June 9.
