In Loving MemoryMs. Carolyn Rodrigues passed away at age 63, on May 13, 2017 at Stanford Hospital. She was born on June 22, 1953, in San Jose, CA to Joe and Angie Rodrigues and went to Camden High school, San Jose, CA.She lived in San Jose, CA, moved to Marysville, WA in 1981, moved to Everett, WA then down to Santa Cruz, CA in 2012. She worked at the hospital in Everett, then Port Gardner hotel in Everett, which is where she worked when she moved down to Santa Cruz. She volunteered at Santa Cruz animal Shelter, she loved animals. She was a free spirit. She left Washington because it was too cold and rainy for her and moved to Santa Cruz, because she loved the ocean. She did hate being so far from her daughter, son in law and grandkids. She was a huge part of their lives. She was there for every birth and babysat them every chance she got. She always bought them silly, but fun gifts and loved spending time with them. She was patient and always there when we needed her. She had many friends and loved life. All the way to the day she passed. She was so hopeful. She did not have much time after she moved to California before she got sick, but in that time she had a lot of fun. Her and her boyfriend, Mike did many fun things together. Her daughter, son in law and grandkids would come visit her and she loved showing them around Santa Cruz and all the places she loved being at. She got to spend more time with her sister and nieces being closer to them. She had many hardships and challenges in her life, but she always had a hopeful and happy attitude. Her funny personality and loving nature is what so many loved about her. She will be deeply missed by so many. She is survived by, daughter and son in law, Stephanie and Mark Southard. Her grandchildren, Trey, 20, Tristen, 18, and Treven Southard, 15, who live in Marysville, WA. Her sister and brother in law, Kathryn and Dick Gleason, Oakland, CA.
