Carolyn was born on May 3, 1941, the daughter of Edward Boyce and Taimy (Makinen) Boyce. She was raised by two loving parents and lived in Seattle, Washington for most of her childhood.
At Franklin high school she was a member of Quakerette cheer squad and an editor for her school’s newspaper. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest she was an avid skier ever since her high school days and had taught children how to ski at the Snoqualmie Pass ski resort.
Carolyn attended the University of Washington from 1960 to 1964 studying art and fashion. While attending university, she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. In 1961, she represented the University of Washington as a Seattle Seafair princess and a member of the University of Washington fashion board. Carolyn also worked while attending college for the bridal department of Frederick & Nelson and modeled for Bon Marche department stores in Seattle.
She left Washington in 1964 to pursue a career with United Air Lines as a stewardess based in San Francisco and met the love of her life Gary in 1966. He was living in Sausalito and stationed at Letterman General Hospital on the Presidio Army Base. She enjoyed flying for United and continued her work until 1969 attaining the position of Senior Steward.
On March 29, 1969, she married Gary and the wedding ceremony was held on Mercer Island, Washington. A few years later they had twin boys named Russell and Randall.
After her flight career Carolyn was a model at numerous charity events showing off the latest styles of Saks Fifth Avenue. She was also known for her volunteer and charity work with the Peninsula Humane Society (PHS) and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
Later in her life she continued her education studying psychology and achieved advanced degrees from Notre Dame de Namure University in Belmont, California with a concentration in Behavioral Psychology, Family therapy, and Art therapy. Carolyn loved playing classical music on her piano and created beautiful works of Art in many styles using watercolors and oils to paint her favorite landscapes, seascapes, and portraits.
She died at the age of 84 on November 17, 2025, at her home in Hillsborough, California. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 57 years, her adult children Russell and Randall, her grandson Brendan and sister-in-law Cristina. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was always welcoming, warm, friendly, caring, and kind. She will be missed dearly by her close family. The memories of Carolyn will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and loved her.
Services for Carolyn Margaret Albright will be held at SkyLawn Memorial Park and Cemetery Tuesday November 25, 2025, between 9-12.
