Carl West's Obituary
Carl West, aged 75, of Foresthill, Ca. passed away on February 10, 2018 at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital.Carl was born September 20, 1942 in Healdsburg, Ca. to Irven and Rosalie West. They moved to Palo Alto, Ca. where he attended and made life-long friends at Jordan Junior High and Edwood P. Cubberley Senior High School, and then studied at National University.Carl worked in several capacities at Raychem Corporation in Menlo Park, Ca. before moving to Sumitomo Electric where he retired at the end of 2000 as VP of Operations. He spent his retirement in the Sierra Nevada foothills and enjoyed his passions for camping, hunting, fishing, and classic automobiles.Carl is survived by his wife, Joanne West, two daughters, Penny Simmons and Kimberley Spence, and his previous spouse, Judy West. He is also survived by three granddaughters, three beautiful great-granddaughters, and many nephews and nieces.An inurnment and reception will be held February 21, 2018 at 10:30 am at Skylawn Memorial Park, Highway 92 and Skyline Blvd, San Mateo, Ca.
