Carl Bonoan Macugay's Obituary
Carl Bonoan Macugay, 54, long time resident of Half Moon Bay, left us suddenly and unexpectedly during a snow storm in Alpine County Friday Feb 8, 2019. Carl was known affectionately as Sunny to his wife, best friend, and partner of 15 years, Bobbi, and two beautiful daughters he lovingly raised, Shelby and Shannon, and his K9 baby Mimi. Carl was an avid motorcyclist, car enthusiast, herb connoisseur, mountain biker, tennis player, alpine skiier, tech geek expert, gear head, master impressionist and a blasting ray of warm gentle sunshine to everyone who knew him. He is predeceased by his father Angelo Macugay, Sr. and leaves behind his mother, Aurea Macugay and siblings Josephine (aka Jo), Ray (Avine), Lou (Laureen), Angelo Jr. (Karen). He was the beloved Uncle Buck to Ria (Andrew), Lawrence Jr. (Lahela), Marcellus (aka Myrt), Angelo III (aka Buck), Claire (aka Hairy Clairy!), Nani (Louie), and Chinelle (Nellie Jelly!). Loving Gruncle to Bria, Gabby, Rocco, Malia, Addi , and Malakai.
