Bruno Galati, aged 80 years, of San Mateo passed away peacefully at his home on February 24th, 2024, at 12:14 am.
Born on December 8th, 1944, in Torino, Italy, Bruno was the beloved son of Enrico Galati and Maria Tortone. He received his education in Buffalo, New York. Bruno dedicated most of his professional life to his jewelry store in Los Altos. Those who knew him well also remember him having a successful restaurant, Martinelli’s, in North Beach. A seasoned traveler, Bruno was fluent in three languages and had a zest for life that radiated through his love for dancing, hunting, fishing, and scuba diving. He will be fondly remembered as the vibrant soul who lit up every gathering he attended. Bruno was a devoted husband and a loving father.
On April 15, 1967, Bruno Galati exchanged vows with his beloved wife, Ida, in a ceremony held in Caracas, Venezuela. Their union was blessed with three children: Michael Daniel Galati, born on June 12, 1968; Annettina Marie Galati, born on August 28, 1970; and Bruno Eduardo Galati Jr., born on March 12, 1973. Bruno shared an unbreakable bond with his children, cherishing every moment spent together.
Bruno Galati leaves behind his cherished wife, Ida Galati, his children, Michael, Tina, and Ed, and his adoring grandchildren, Crystal, Anna, Christopher, Angelina, and Sara.
A viewing will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home on March 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Funeral services will take place at Skylawn Funeral Home on March 6, 2024, at 12:00 pm.
