Beverly Gotelli's Obituary
Beverly 'Mama' Gotelli She had a warm welcoming smile to greet you and a tender giving heart to love you. A little princess was born on February 25, 1934 to Roland & Dorothy Rich in Los Angeles, CA. She always had the prettiest things for an only child. When they relocated in 1946 to South San Francisco, and the princess and her family welcomed 4 siblings, Roland Jr.(deceased), Linda, John and Karen. Her first job was a cashier at the State Theatre on Linden Ave. Where she was introduced to her knight in shining armor, Richard L. Gotelli, and thus the storybook romance began, she was elated with happiness. She then got a job at an Insurance Company in San Francisco working as a secretary, thus began planning her 'Royal Wedding', which was held on June 20, 1953. And together, the royal couple became,' the King and Queen', and were able to buy their castle on 309 Rockwood Drive. The king showered her with pretty things and soon the queen quit her job and became a full time homemaker. Her finesse for perfection reflected in all she touched, her castle was immaculate and she raised 3 wonderful children, Richard Jr., Doreen, Gina. The children grew up and Gina married George Rodriguez, producing the 'Heir to the throne', Casey. The queen had many talents for arts and crafts, building puzzles and she enjoyed needlepoint, but her passion grew into Crocheting. And what a gift she had, she produced the most extraordinary and beautiful blankets, doilies, baby outfits, holiday and ceremonial dolls. She soon discovered that when she would share her creations, it brought such happiness and tears of joy to those who received it, that it made the queen famous throughout the land. But while spreading her gifts, she was always mindful to keep the king fulfilled, the children happy and maintained the upkeep on the castle. But alas, the queen developed ailments, ones that had multiplied. She would fight them, but they always had a way of returning with a vengeance and her health declined, and so did her charm and enthusiasm for life. The delicate flower had started to show signs of fading, and unfortunately the ailments overtook her. The pain that she had suffered all those years was gone, And on October 17, 2012 the queen's last chapter was wrote. Beverly Jean was a one of a kind lady, and will be greatly missed by all, but especially by the king.
