Bettie June Topper's Obituary
Bettie began this world as Bettie June Winding, the youngest daughter of Lauritz and Hanna Winding of San Leandro, California, parents of nine children.Bettie was the wife of Walter S. Topper and the mother of one, Walter S. Topper, Jr.Bettie built a treasure of many great memories over a lifetime and shared them with her friends and family. Her precious memories will live on in the retelling of her stories. Her lifetime of memories and personal accounts may not be fully known as she kept a few secrets and many good deeds locked in her heart. Few people are privileged to have had such a charmed life. Bettie and Walter traveled the world, shared many adventures, and loved each other unconditionally.Bettie made an impression on a delightful crew of people from her Saint Gregory community, the “Old” Mollie Stone & Starbucks morning group, her Winding relatives, Topper relatives, Guam and Many Journeys MCC Family, and the multitude of friends and chosen-family she made during her life journey. All can recall, with fondness, her sense of humor, her ready laughter, her wicked ability to charm, and her gift of gab.Although, toward the end of her life getting around was difficult, our hearts are eased now knowing that she can move with ease, love in fullness and will sparkle in the heavens forever.Bettie is interred at Skylawn Memorial Park, in the Serenity Terrace, Hwy. 92 and CA 94402In lieu of flowers please consider donating to either of the communities that supported and sustained Bettie. Her Community of FaithSt. Gregory’s Church2715 Hacienda StSan Mateo, CA 94403 Her Community of Chosen-FamilyMany Journeys MCC1150 W.
