Bella Calopiz's Obituary
Bella Calopiz, age 89, passed peacefully surrounded by family in her home on Saturday, September 12.
She was born in Leon, Iloilo, Philippines on November 9, 1930. She married her one and only love of her life, Antonio Calopiz on June 26, 1960.
Her ambition and dedication to provide for her family allowed her to come to America by herself in 1977. She worked tirelessly to pass her nursing exam so her family can move with her. Once settled in California, she was able to bring her husband and kids with her. Her resilience stayed with her until the very end. A devout Catholic, her family takes comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and with Jesus and her loved ones.
Bella is survived by her loving husband, 6 children, and 11 grandchildren.
A service will be held on Thursday, September 17, at 12:00 PM at Skylawn Memorial Park. If you have a fond memory of Bella please share it on this page.
