The memories of this wonderful woman are too many to recount here. One that stands out is when she told me she thought of me as a sister, not a sister-in-law. That is how I always felt in her presence. She was the ultimate “hostess with the mostest”, loved throwing a party or just hosting houseguests, and loved having people linger. In the presence of children she could become very playful, quite animated, holding them in rapt attention. It’s easy to see why she was a natural as a teacher. There is a hole in my heart now that she is no longer here but the wonderful memories of Barb will fill that hole. God speed Barb, your big brother John will joyously welcome his little sister.
