Barbara Browne's Obituary
Barbara Ann Browne was born September 30, 1938 and passed away peacefully on November 1, 2018. She spent the majority of her years in the San Mateo area. She was an only child born to the late Chapin Bristol, and the late Marion Bristol. She is survived by her son Michael Browne, her daughter Nicole McCoy, and her grandchildren, Rob McCoy, Logan Browne, Lauren Browne and Lyvia Browne.She was born in Spokane Washington and eventually moved to the south bay area of California where she attended San Mateo Jr. College and received a degree in business administration. She was a secretary for various companies, but her most fulfilling job was working for First Jersey Securities in San Mateo as the owner’s secretary.Barbara was a Christian and exemplified that by the way she lived her life. She treated everyone, with dignity and respect. She gave to the homeless when she only had barely enough money for herself. She was gracious and humble; loving, nurturing and kind. She was also sharp as a tack. She touched everyone who met her through her entire life. She will be dearly missed.A graveside service will be held November 11, 2018 at 11:00a.m at Sky Lawn Memorial Park State Route 92 at Highway 35 San Mateo, CA 94402
