Baldwin Wong's Obituary
Baldwin Boyin Wong was born in China and the youngest of 7 brothers and sisters. He lived and went to school in Macau for a few years. His father died when he was young, and he went to Hong Kong to look for work. He worked on a variety of jobs like office work, moving company, refrigerator sales. It was a difficult time, but he never once complained. For someone without much education and connection, he achieved success by applying his superior work ethic and dedication to his work. He was a success in the industry, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and competitors. He also achieved success by building a family with his wife, Kayleen and raising two sons, Alan and Alex.
At the age of 45, he brought his young family from Hong Kong to San Francisco. With limited language skill and limited resources, it was a difficult beginning. But once again, with hard work and dedication, he founded and operated a wholesale business for 30 years, and provided a comfortable life for his family.
Later in life, he become associated with San Bao Temple of San Francisco. He loved learning about Buddhism and the teachings of Master Hsing Yun. He greatly enjoyed his time at the temple and made many friends there.
He passed away peacefully on December 15, 2019 and he will be best remembered for his work ethic and dedication to family, friends, and work.
