Aurelia Vivar's Obituary
Aurelia M. de Vivar, 97, of San Mateo passed away February 3, 2015. She was born in Ayacucho, Peru, December 2, 1917. In 1948 Aurelia decided to come to the U.S. to work as a nanny, and became a long time resident of San Mateo, California. She married her late husband Eleazar Vivar June 9, 1951, and lived 48 wonderful years by his side. After working as a nanny in her early years, Aurelia worked for Peninsula Hospital and Mills Hospital. Aurelia was a remarkably strong woman, with a passion for life that was known to those closest to her. She loved to travel, learn new cultures, attend church, and spend time with friends and family. She had a gift for finding diamonds where others found stones. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend Aurelia’s service celebrating her life on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 10 A.M. at St. Matthews Catholic Church, located at 1 Notre Dame Avenue, San Mateo CA 94402. Burial and reception will follow at Skylawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park on Hwy 92, San Mateo, CA 94402. On February 13 a Rosary will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home, Hwy. 92 at Skyline Blvd. at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will be available February 13 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Skylawn Funeral Home.
