Augusta A. Williams Tucker's Obituary
Augusta Allen Williams Tucker was called home by her Lord and Savior on October 27, 2017. She was laid to rest on November 11, 2017 at Skylawn Memorial Park, surrounded by her family and friends.She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Fred Lassiter Tucker, daughters Patricia Annette Stewart and Carolyn Ann Elias, son Stephen Allen Tucker, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and her sister Nelle Gray Stallings of Pennsylvania.She graduated from Montgomery School of Business in Alabama, and served during WWII as Civilian Chief of the Ft. McClellan Army Depot in Anniston, Alabama. She later worked at Ft. Mason in San Francisco, California, and ended her career managing the business books for her husband’s Super Shell Gas Station at 17th and Potrero in San Francisco.She and her husband Fred established Calvary Baptist Church of San Mateo (1955-2009) in their family’s living room. She joined Western Hills Church in San Mateo soon after.She was always a selfless person never knowing the word ‘no’. She was always serving others as the scriptures say for us to do. She would want everyone to know how to get to Heaven, where she resides now, serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.“Well done thou good and faithful servant.
