Arthur Lin Wong's Obituary
Art Wong, age 70, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 while on a bike ride with friends. He was the devoted husband of Sue Wong, who passed away in June 2019 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.Art was born in China and moved to the United States when he was a toddler. Growing up in San Francisco, Art helped out his parents every weekend at their grocery store located in Hunter’s Point. Art obtained both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from San Jose State University and put his degree in electrical engineering to good use working in the tech field in Silicon Valley. He retired in 2014, but was a lifelong learner, taking continuing education classes in gardening and map and compass reading. He was also very active, taking tai chi, meditation, and yoga classes and going biking and hiking with friends.Art was a quiet but strong individual who left a lasting impression on those around him. He was a dedicated father, son, and husband and a generous and loyal friend, forever the gentleman.Art is survived by his two daughters Jennifer and Cynthia, son-in-law Richard, grandson Kingston, sister and brother-in-law Gloria and John, and mother Margaret. He will be greatly missed.
